This will be an informal and interactive discussion to demo Qiqo's tools for facilitators and community organizers. We'll discuss ways to host (and make money from) online events ranging from dialogues to full online conferences with breakout sessions.
If you're a part of an online group that uses a range of tools to get things done (listservs, Google Groups, Facebook, blogs, collaborative notes, Zoom video, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, etc) we'll demo how Qiqo can help you get those tools talking to one another, to improve collaboration & productivity within your online group.
Please bring your questions or feel free to add them to the comment section ahead of time.
The most common question is pricing. All tools on Qiqo are free except for Zoom video (1¢ per min per person) and the news aggregation tool.

We ended up in the 2nd Dialogue wondering about questions such as "how we can get out of our tribal bubbles" and questions related to, "how do we create spaces that make all political perspectives feel welcome?" Come with YOUR juicy questions and invite people you know who might represent different political views!! Let's expand what we know about D&D in this uncertain time. In particular, we will begin by unpacking the concepts of "empathy/compassion and boundaries" from both a liberal and a conservative point of view. With our bubbles holding us captive to certain notions behind these words, we will explore the meanings and nuances of these words so we can begin to get at the so-called "divide" between us.

Our opening question for this Dialogue will be "how can we learn to successfully outreach" to our NCDD community and to our communities in general to ensure multi-perspectival public engagements? It can feel frustrating if we are only speaking to the choir, if what we are really after is to learn how to bridge the growing political and other divides we are seeing within our NCDD community as well as in our communities at large. Many of us in NCDD wrestle with the post-election out-come and how to deal with the increasing polarization in our country, families, and organizations. We are in the profession of helping people listen across differences, so let’s build our own shared understanding. How do we get people into safe spaces to express their hopes, fears, and concerns for the the future? Depending on the interest, this will be a monthly Dialogue group. This will be initially facilitated by Linda Ellinor and Lucas Cioffi.

In light of the recent tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina, what can each of us do to ease racial tensions in our communities and/or at the national level? What can be done (practically and realistically) at various scales–within our families, within our communities, or nationwide– to make it easier for us to talk about race, to build bridges, to have more patience, to have more tolerance and understanding?
This online event is not a presentation, rather it is space for each of us in the dialogue community to discuss these questions in breakout groups of 3-5 people. You can dial in by phone or by computer, and sharing your webcam video is optional. (60 minutes)

Join John Eley, PhD as he opens space for us to discuss how to expand and continue the great conversations we start on the NCDD list by breaking them down into discrete topic-by-topic conversations for additional depth.
This will start as a few minute intro by John with follow-up questions from Lucas Cioffi and we'll open it to group discussion, using breakout tables if the group is large.
You can read more about the initial exploration John has done with a few of the recent NCDD conversations here: http://qiqochat.com/a/eiIfeHrO
Success for this event looks like this:
1. We get feedback on the potential value of John's approach to the community.
2. We brainstorm additional approaches and ways to move the conversations that start on the NCDD listserv to greater depth.
3. Folks who are interested in exploring this get a chance to meet each other and discuss next steps.
